Product Overview
The 3D test environment inside Depence is the perfect place to test and design video projection mapping scenarios. Depence simulates several features of conventional video-projectors like Keystone correction, Soft-Edge and Masking. Videos can be projected onto any 3D Surface as well as onto fountains and water screens.
Depence also contains an integrated Media Server which allows you to play back multiple videos via the show timeline. Furthermore, it supports external video streaming via network broadcasting protocols such as NDI, to receive live video signals from external media servers like Resolume, Arkaos and more.

Our innovative concept of Dependencies allows you to instantly connect fixtures, such as nozzles with valves and valves with pumps.
These connections will be used to calculate hydrodynamics and lighting. In reality these connections can be simply compared with real-world installation pipes and cabling.

Accurate Beam Rendering
Physical based real-time raytraced lighting beams are used to render high quality and realistically accurate light beams. With adjustable cloud and haze parameters you can instantly change the look of the scene.
PBR & Tonemapping
Depence features full PBR (physical based rendering) capabilities and a comprehensive PBR Material library. All physical surface parameters such as roughness, reflections, metalness, etc. are combined to render natural looking surfaces. Tone-Mapping and color correction algorithms will ensure a realistic representation of colors depending on intensity.
Multi LED Lights
The engine supports all kinds of grouped multi LED fixtures, which are also singly controllable. The position of every single LED can be adjusted to match the original look of the fixture and its light distribution.
Truss Snapping
Depence comes with a library of more than 1500 truss elements. By using simple Drag & Drop features it is possible to build up any truss extremely quick. Custom 3D trusses are generated procedurally from within the software.
Fixture Hang Tools
Innovative design tools drastically speed up the process by allowing you to hang multiple fixture combinations onto trusses or splines automatically within a single action.
Import & Export
Depence supports the new MVR file format introduced by VectorWorks to exchange entire stages including 3D models and fixture patching. Furthermore, it is possible to import patch files from grandMA and others in form of XML or CSV files.
The Depence R3 Special FX Module provides real-time design & visualization features to create virtual special effects for your Depence project. Effects included are Fireworks, Flames, CO2 Jets, Dynamic Fog Ground, Spark Fountains, and many more.
Flames
Dozens of different and fully customizable parameters allow us to create any kind of flame fixture whether it is gas or liquid based. Even the surroundings are getting illuminated by the direct light of each fire particle.
Fog
The FX particle engine also supports opaque elements such as CO2 canons, fog machines and even ground fog. This feature fully interacts with all lighting and projections.
Sparkes
The engine also supports any kind of sparkle effects, which e.g. can be a fountain or rain, same as flame particles emitting direct light into the scene. All physical parameters are adjustable.
