Description
Ceiling Array Microphones
Shure Ceiling Array Microphones provide natural sound and precise coverage in meeting rooms of all types. The advantages of ceiling array microphones have made them a popular choice for conference rooms, training rooms, lecture halls, and classrooms.
Benefits of Ceiling Array Microphones
Ceiling array microphones provide optimal coverage of the seating area.
With the microphone overhead, the distance to each participant is roughly the same, resulting in more consistent sound quality and a more equitable meeting experience for everyone.
Ceiling array microphones keep the table surface clear.
There’s plenty of room to spread out laptops, blueprints, or other materials without worrying about obstructing table microphones.
Ceiling array microphones are a discreet solution.
Whether mounted on the ceiling or suspended, they blend in with the room, so most people won’t even notice them.
How Ceiling Array Microphones Work
Shure ceiling array mics use a technique called beamforming that combines as many as 113 tiny microphones to create pickup lobes that can vary in width and be aimed at different parts of the room. These lobes can pick up a single talker or a group.
Powerful digital signal processing is built into the microphone to activate coverage as needed to capture a single talker or a group – even if multiple people speak simultaneously. This enables dynamic conversations and Q-and-A sessions.
Built-in DSP also includes echo cancellation, noise reduction, automatic gain control, and other processing that eliminates annoying room noise and echo and delivers natural interaction between in-room and remote participants.
